When is Enough..Really Enough?

"When is enough..really enough?"

It's one of those questions that has many answers. I'm not sure about others, but I think we all at some point in another want THE ANSWER to that question. It doesn't really matter if it's work, relationships or our daily lives, one way or another, it pops up.

Take an argument for example, i think some of us start processing the thought of when you should actually show frustration, well, I guess that's when we reach our boiling point. What about someone who's going on and on about a topic you might not find interesting? When do you tell yourself you had enough to listen regarding the topic and attempt changing the topic?

What about a relationship? When is enough..really enough? Having been in a situation of not being given chances to prove oneself, I understand that feeling of having the world against you, hence, I believe in giving chances (yes, many friends have told me sometimes taking the risk isn't worth it). And then, there comes the point where you start wondering when is it really the last chance?

I guess maybe it's that struggle between loving yourself, and learning to forgive and forget. At times, I find myself in situations when I stand on this fine line, where a part of me would love to forgive (maybe not forget) yet the other, wants to love myself a little more, but some unknown bit of me reminds myself that it'd be selfish to do so, knowing the pain of not being given a chance.

Wish I could toss a coin though. IF Life were that easy.

Maybe it's one of those "Chicken or Egg first"questions. Thanks to our individuality as humans, I guess we'll all have different views on 'When is enough..really enough". Afterall, one man's meat is another's poison, right? =)

iPhone 3G by Apple

Woots! I just saw the iPhone 3G advert on tv! Simple ad, but shows off alot of the iPhone features. Here's a similar ad used in Singapore for the iPhone 3G (save for the network provider at the end of the ad)

Samsung P960 II

I apologise to those who read my blog for the recent hiatus and lack of entries. Been busy with exploring the P960. Okay, I have to be honest to add that this is the second time I'm using a Samsung phone, so I'm actually quite unfamiliar with the regular functions of a Samsung as compared to a Nokia/Sony Ericsson/Motorola.

However, thankfully, someone recently pointed out to me that the number recognition on my P960 is available on most Samsung phones.

Okay, here's what I found interesting on the P960 recently. It has a Auto Reply function available, where it allows the user to set a sms message, which will be sent out should you be unable to take your calls. Great for meetings!

Another function I love on the P960 is the scroll through menu available on most sub menus, you know sometimes how you're in the midst of replying to a message, and you get distracted midway, and forget what you're supposed to reply? That's when the scroll through menu comes in handy. Just save your current message to your Drafts, scroll back to your inbox using the keypad, VIOLA! You're back to the sender's message.

A few another functions that caught my eye was the
  • Scientific Calculator,
  • World Clock (which can be customised and set as your wallpaper - perfect for globetrotters, or those with loved ones overseas),
  • SOS Message (sends out a SOS message to recipients of your choice, and customizable number of times to repeat sending the SOS message)
  • Customizable Snooze time (allows user to customize snooze time inbetween alarms and also number of times the snooze should be repeated)
  • Offline profile (shuts down the network and 3G connection, but still allows user to utilize other functions on the phone - almost similar to the Airplane Profile on Sony Ericssons)
Okay, I know how I've been going on and on about how good the phone is, but, there are some downsides to it though. I'm not sure if this is common with other Samsung Phones, but the P960 heats up really fast while charging or if you're talking on the phone.

In addition, when the phone signals Low Battery, it disallows you to use the Radio, Tv, Web Browser functions. (I know if you're out, it's great to be able to conserve the remaining battery, but I'm the sort who allows the phone battery to totally discharge by running such applications - guess it's a perspective thing)

Mobile Tv on the P960 has been lukewarm. I guess the initial excitement has disappeared, but also due to the fact that there have been problems with the tv guide. For example, it might read 'Fashion World' on the tv guide, but whatever's showing on the channel isn't Fashion World! Other than such issues, it hasn't given me any other problems, visually, it's still great, audiowise, still great. I hope there won't be any more problems though.

Okay, this entry is rather long, sorry for being so wordy! I'm still quite new at this,so please do drop me comments/tags/emails on how to improve =) Alrite, I should be blogging soon again!

Samsung P960

peekaboo! here i am again..yes, and as i'm typing this, i'm also watching some shows on the Samsung P960 (yet to be released in Sg)..okay, i got it from m1 for trial use of the Mobile TV function on the phone. honestly, it's quite a stylish phone, i absolutely LOVE the fact that you can actually customise the themes available in the phone, right down to the icons! (yes, the individual icons available on ur menu)

it is a triband phone, allows 3G, has a 2.6" LCD screen, FM radio,mp3 player, a document viewer, bluetooth and a 3 MP camera with LED flash for those who enjoy taking photos on the go. Okay, but the highlight of the phone is really the fact that it's the FIRST mobile tv slider phone available.

On top of being able to watch tv channels on this stylish phone, you can scroll through what's on for the next three days on the tv guide available, read the synopsis about the show/episode you're currently watching, and if you're wondering what happens if someone calls while you're watching your favourite program, don't fret. The show won't keep running as you take the call.

The P960 has a DVR-like time shifting function that will pause live television programming when a call comes in so that users can avoid missing their favorite shows. The TV viewer application on the P960 also supports picture in picture viewing! (Perfect for those who want to watch two channels at a go)

Some have asked if the picture's clear, trust me, it's definitely clear! Audio has been enhanced thanks to Bang & Olufsen's ICEPower audio processing system for full sounding audio from songs and TV programs alike.

I'll be updating more on my P960 experience as I go about exploring the phone =)

Siloso Hotbods '08

okay, update on Siloso hotbods 2008 competition i took part in in June..first time i ever actually even took part in anything like that..but oh well, it was fun, fun and more fun!..okay, here's how it all went..

i randomly signed up for the competition online with a waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy unflattering picture..thinking 'oh well, i probably won't get shortlisted anyway'..but i was sooo wrong about that..after thoroughly regretting my choice of photo, i emailed the people at sentosa asking if i could change my photo..(thankfully i could..*phew*)..

in any case..i managed to squeeze into the top 5 babes, and got to know the other finalists during the Billabong fitting..(yes, i'm still in contact with them)..

day of competition was HOTTTTTTTT..but it was uber fun stuff..doing the two walks and answering the Q&A..okay, long story short, i didn't win the title, but i did go home with a subsidiary title of Miss Seventeen (courtesy of Seventeen Magazine)..=)

oh yes, i'm starting school in Nov..so that's quite a bummer..but oh well..now i'm pretty much looking for short jobs instead of waiting around for castings..speaking of castings, i'm now a freelance model, and i just went for my very first shortlisted casting, and somehow, praying uber hard for a miracle to happen such that i'd get the job..LOL!..

okay, here's some pics from the time of the competition =) (i'll be putting the rest up in an album)
